Hi everyone,
so I am doing some research on one of my cousins' sides of the family. His grandmother, born in 1929 in Massachusetts, is named Rita G Finn. However, in the 1930 census she is listed as a stepdaughter (with the head of house last name Finn). But, her parents are listed as being born in F: Scotland M: Canada English and both of the Finn parents are born, as well as their parents, in Massachusetts. I am guessing, considering she is the youngest listed and they already had about 8 kids, she was not simply adopted. Maybe she is from another branch of the Finn or mothers family? Any ideas?
She is still alive, but my cousin has always lived with his mom and stepdad and so barely knows his grandparents. Though his grandad, Rita's husband, Alfred Ortolani, just died this year.
Thanks for all the help!
