How could I locate any information on indivudals in the state of Massachusetts being bond to a person with the intent of possibly learning a trade. My ancestor in particular is one Noah Mason born Massachusetts Jan 15 1782 Worcester county he worked for a hard master his biography stated until he turned 14 and then ran away due to ill treatment to become a Sailor. I have been unable to locate any records on this fact, I'm trying to locate his parents thoughts are he may have been illegitimate,
