Holland, Luther, Petersham, Worcester Co., MA, Will dated February, 1816, Vol. 56-P. 134.
In the name of God, Amen. I Luther Holland of Petersham, being weak in body but of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, ? be Almighty God, do make and publish this last will and testament in manner and form following; that is to say~
First, I will that my funeral charges and just debts shall be paid.
I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Elizabeth Holland, all my real and personal estate to be her sole property to her and her heirs forever upon the conditions that she, the said Elizabeth, pay out the several bequeathes as I will them as follows~viz.
I do give and bequeath to my three sons, Luther, Park and Harrison, One Dollar a piece to be paid in one year from my decease.
I also give and bequeath unto my two daughters, Betsy Gale and Emily Gale, One dollar a piece to be paid in one year from my decease.
I also give and bequeath unto my son, Sidney, the sum of seventy seven dollars to be paid in two years from my decease with interest.
I do also give and bequeath unto my daughter, Louise, the sum of one hundred fifty dollars to be paid in two years from my decease with interest.
And I do hereby appoint my sons Luther Holland and Park Holland my executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand, eight hundred and sixteen.
Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Luther Holland to be his last will and testament in presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in presence of the Testator.
