My Hauser family is well traced through Canada (arrival 1840) to Ottersweier and Fautenbach in Baden.

Henry Hauser was the grandson of our immigrant ancestors and my great uncle (my father's middle name Henry was in honour of this man)

Anyway. Henry moved from Waterloo County Ontario to the Suffolk / Boston area sometime before 1830. He was a carpenter and seems to have followed a first cousin Henry L Hauser to the area (he too was a carpenter)

I have scant information on him, but I know he had two stepchildren named Vera and Ralph Bernard. I had his wife as Louise Bernard. On the 1830 census, much of this checks out, even the children's relationship as stepchildren is confirmed. The only discrepancy is that his wife is named Helen but I believe that the family is one and the same.

Anyway, all I know for certain is that Vera was born around 1903 and Ralph 1905 (from census) that they seemed to keep the Bernard name and finally that Vera was an opera singer.

If these two are alive, they are obviously quite aged but I would love to locate them or thier offspring.

If this Bernard/Hauser connection rings any bells can you please let me know?

It's sort of a new fishing trip at this time but who knows?

Thanks!
