I think the wife may have survived. This is a small part of what I can make out and only a guess on some words.
Joseph King aged --- years, a chauffeur by occupation shot and probably fatally injured his young wife at the home of the --- sister, Mrs. Alice Wright 275? Walker Street Sunday. King then turned the revolver on himself and shot a bullet into his brain which resulted in his death a short time afterwards. Mrs. King was hurried to the hospital and in on the dangerous list. She was shot at close range the bullet entering her left breast. King then shot himself through the right temple.
King is not well known in this city. However Mrs. King is well known, her maiden name was Lena Gagnon. King is survived by a sister who is said to live in Foxcroft, Maine and a mother in Montreal Canada.
The next day in the paper was this;
The body of Joseph King who committed suicide after --- ---
his wife Sunday was removed from St. John's Hospital to the --- of Undertaker --- where the funeral will take place. The deceased is survived by a brother-in-law ---- , a sister Mrs. Peter Libby? and a mother in Canada.
The article goes into a long description of the shooting which seemed to be over money but I can hardly read it.
I did not see a notice of her death, and with your info means the wife probably lived.
