I just discovered that the "Edmond Lewis of Lynn, Massachusetts" book was incorrect on the death date of my gr. gr. grandfather, Robert Lewis. He actually died 29 Oct 1863 while serving in the 12th Light Artillary Regiment from Massachusetts. He did die in New Orleans, but I haven't found a grave site for him yet. His wife Susan applied for her pension 2 Mar 1864, 13 Oct 1868, and 27 Feb 1913. The first two times, their son, Jacob M. Lewis was listed as a minor.
