Essentially what you see is what appears printed in that book. You can check if a library near you had the AGBI series (or any book) by looking the book series up on worldcat.org website. Participating libraries list their collections.
BUT REALLY what you want to see is what the AGBI is actually indexing, The Boston Transcript's Genealogy Column. Last year or earlier this year the New England Historic Genealogical Society digitized these newspaper columns into an online collection for its website, americanancestors.org though there are some free database collections, this one is part of the NEHGS members only area.
You can join and view from home. Sometimes there is free access period but usually it is based around a particular record type. Perhaps they will have a Black Friday/Cyber Monday discount for new members like another large genealogical society did last year.
But many local libraries with good genealogy/local history collections or even local societies have an institutional subscription where patrons can access this collection. Just remember to bring a USB drive to download any record images.
