I am researching my g-g-grandfather, James DANIELL/DANIELS He has two children buried in a Great Barrington cemetery, d 1840-1. Family tradition says that he and his brother were part-owners of a textile mill in Berkshire Co.
Hiram Chapman graduated from Pittsfield Medical School and later moved to WV where he was a large land speculator. My g-g-grandfather apparently knew him well in Pittsfield, while they both lived in Berkshire Co. He purchase several hundred acres in WV from him in 1847
Did Dr. CHAPMAN have an interest in some type of mill, somewhere in the county, and was he associated in any way with the DANIELL/DANIELS brothers? Dr. Chapman left MA prior to 1852
