Considering the SHIPLEY connections, I think Rezin might have been connected to the James BARNES who was transported 15 Apr. 1676 in the Cecilius. James BARNES m. ca. 1694, Ketura SHIPLEY, dau/o Lois [HOWARD?] & Adam SHIPLEY. James BARNES died intestate before 18 June 1726, when his widow Ketura posted bond as admx/o his estate with sureties Robert SHIPLEY & Robert BARNES [Testamentary Proceedings, Book 27].

James BARNES & Ketura SHIPLEY had

1. Richard, b. ca. 1695, living in 1751, Balto. Co.; m. 28 July 1716, St. Anne's, Sarah STEVENS, & had sons Benj. & Richard; m2. by 1740, Catherine. Richard deposed in 1742, aged 46 [AA 2:158].

2. James (ca. 1696 - will pr. 18 Apr. 1741, Balto. Co.) m. 14 Jan. 1728, St. Anne's, Eliz. DAWSON; his will named sons Richard, James, & John, & grandson Dawson, & named bros. Adam & Peter as executors.

3. William, b. ca. 1698, m. 18 Sep. 1718, St. Anne's, Susanna DAVIS.

4. Adam (1700 - will pr. 16 Feb. 1779, AA Co., MD) m. ca. 1732, Hannah DORSEY, b. 26 Aug. 1709. Their children were Henry, John, Sophia, Ruth, Susanna, James, Patience, Hannah, & Michael. Adam deposed in 1747, aged 47 [AA 2:274].

5. Robert (ca. 1702 - 1775/6, Fredk. Co., MD) m. 11 Feb. 1728 Lois PORTER, d/o Lois SHIPLEY & Peter PORTER. Ch. Nathan, Robert, Joshua, Rachel, Kate, Sarah, Silvanus, & Ezekiel.

6. Peter (1705 - will pr. 19 Feb. 1759) his mother deeded to him in 1740 [AA Deeds IH & TI 1:2]. Peter's will named ch. Charles, Peter, James, Nicholas, Hammutal, Patience, & Vachel. Peter deposed in 1747, aged 42 [AA 2:274]. Brothers Adam & Peter Barnes were vestrymen of Queen Caroline Parish when the Dorseys deeded the land for Christ Church.

7. Ketura, b. ca. 1708, m. 22 Oct. 1728, St. Anne's, Richard SHIPLEY.

8. Joshua, b. ca. 171_. On 13 June 1734, Peter granted to bro. Joshua 64 acres, which Joshua then surveyed as "Barnes' Hunt." On 15 Oct. 1744, Robert SHIPLEY deeded to Joshua BARNES, part of "Shipley's Search," part of which was sold 28 Jan. 1745 by Joshua BARNES & wf. Ruth.

9. Susanna, b. 15 May 1715, bpt. 29 July 1717, St. Anne's, with bro. Nathan.

10. Nathan, b. 18 June 1717, bpt. 29 July 1717. After his death, his children: Sarah, John, Rachel, Elijah, & Ellis sold shares of "Shipley's Discovery" to their brother Nathan.
