I'm looking for any information on Jonathan C Cropper (John) I have been told he was married at least twice. He married Nancy Ann Hall in 1820 and had George S.( b 1826?) who married Elizabeth Cropper, the daughter of Reuben Cropper and Mary (b 1828)also my g-grandfather, Charles H.(b-1835) Jonathan was dead by 1838 as his wife remarried Tenant Bowen. They all lived in Worcester county in the Berlin area.
Could he possibly be the son of Bela Cropper who went to Kentucky? Several sources think so. Any information on the Croppers from 1770-1850 might help put the puzzle together.

Amy,
Don't have much in my lineage pertaining to Cropper...
Martin Luther Hudson(Son Of Samuel M.) Married a Mary Cropper c:1895. Back then Snow Hill was the county seat and all marriages are recorded in the court house. Perhaps both are burried in All Hollows Protestant/Episcopal Church Cemetary.

A Sebrina Cropper is also recorded in the will of Annanias Hudson and is perhaps of some interest. Annanias is mentioned several times in wills probated in Worcester. He witnessed Solomon 1786, Richard 1798, and mentioned in another Richard of 1762. He perhaps had a nephew Annanias because an Annanias Hudson's will was probated in 1791. In this will it mentions Annanias son of Henry Hudson and leaves property to brother Henry. Annanias may have mentioned Sebrina as the maiden name of a wife of a Hudson(not very likely) or as a daughter to a Hudson female whom married a Cropper. Can not find anything more on a Sebrina Hudson.

17. Samuel M.4 Hudson1 (Elizabeth J. 6). Born, 26 Oct 18354. Died, 2 Jul 19054. Burial All Hollows PE, Snow Hill, Worcester Co, MD4. Occupation: Farmer.
