I am decendant of William Knott, who from the sources I have died in Indiana in 1830. He had a son, John Knott who was born in 1790 in New Jersey. John married Nancy Miller in Ohio, and then moved onto, and died in Fulton Co., Ill. I found this William Knott on the 1790 Montgomery Co., Maryland, and think it could be the one I am looking for.
