Classification: Query
Surnames: Morgan, Jarvis, Roper, Coles, Harrison
There was apparently a Jarvis MORGAN for whom 250 acres called "Indian Range" was surveyed on 8-7-1669 in Kent County.

Alice MORGAN (d aft 1741), was apparently the Widow of Jarvis MORGAN. About 1675 she married William ROPER (bur 1 Mar 1703 - All Hallows Church, Anne Arundel, MD).

William and Alice Morgan ROPER had at least seven children: Alice, William, Thomas, John, Henry, Dorcas and Mary.

There was also apparently a younger Jarvis Morgan who must have been raised in the ROPER household, as his Will in 1698 bequeaths his estate to various ROPER children whom he identifies as brothers and sisters:

MARYLAND CALENDAR OF WILLS: Volume 2
VOLUME II.

To sister Alice Davis afsd., personalty.
Father William Roper, ex. and residuary legatee.

The dates indicated above seem to indicate that the Patented land in Kent County must have been surveyed for the son, who is made the Will in 1698 remembering his ROPER siblings.

Can anyone clearly identify the elder Jarvis Morgan or his line and is anyone aware of the original identity of Alice, who married the elder Jarvis Morgan prior to her marriage to William ROPER?

Also, is anyone familiar with any family connection between the Morgan and Coles or Harrison familis of Maryland? Note that Ann Coles and Charles Harrison were witnesses to Jarvis Morgan's Will.
