Dr. Lewis Derochbrune brought his family to Kent Island from Haiti, settled in Kent Island before 1726 when John DEROCHBRUNE was born. John DEROCHBRUNE was son of Joseph DEROCHBRUNE, Lewis DEROCHBRUNE's son.

John DEROCHBRUNE married Mary BOONE in 1757 and had a son Matthew DEROCHBRUNE (b. Vaughn's Kindness, Tuckahoe, Caroline County, MD in 1761).

Matthew DEROCHBRUNE married Sarah WOOTERS (daughter of Ezekiel WOOTERS and Ann DOWNES) and had a son Thomas DEROCHBRUNE in 1793.

Thomas DEROCHBRUNE m. Anna Maria DOWNES daughter of George DOWNES and Ann HALL/COOPER? and had a daughter Sarah Anne DEROCHBRUNE born April 10, 1825 m. John MULLIKIN
