Historic Graves, Private Burial Grounds and Cemeteries of Kent County has: Index item "Memorials at Worton Manor or Worton Point, Andelot Farms" shows a Benjamin Starck(sic) Born November 9 1814, died Jan'y 18, 1854" The graveyard is described as "a point of land near the once called Maxwell home on Worton Creek and an inlet, Tim' Creek;; now bordering of woods by the creek, myrtle growing over an open plot, some sunken places and one broken stone in three pieces."
My question: is this in the conservancy donated by Mrs. Louisa Duemling in 2009? Are visitors allowed onto the grounds? Does anyone "weed whack" or tend these graves? I believe this Starck to be the husband of Catherine Elizabeth (Lyzer)Start buried at the Home Farm cemetery (on Find A Grave.) and also called the BECK-LYZER cemetery in the book quoted above. I am looking for the son, Benjamin's death date and place. He lived in N CA, came back to MD where he was born and, I think, is the hired man on George Dill's farm in 1880. He does not appear on the 1900 census, apparently dying between 1880 and 1900. I will reimburse anyone who finds him in a church death register in the above community; I visited for one day in Kent County but was clueless as to which church would be likely. Thanks for reading all this. Grace in AK
