My gr-gr-gr-grandmother was a slave of the Snowden of Conecuh
Alabama. According to a newspaper article she was owned/freed by Jessee Snowden family. The Snowdens along with the Boulwares were from Virginia and the Carolinas, settling in Alabama in the mid 1800's. Along with them was my gr-gr-gr-grandmother Sherman Ashley b.1840- d-1946 in Teddy Alabama, Escambia County.

I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone having information on slaves owned by the Snowden or Boulwares.
