Surnames:
Alberton is also another name for what is now known as Daniels. The name "Alberton" came from the Alberton Mills at Elysville. The town did not take on the name of "Daniels" until the mill and the town were acquired in 1940 by C. R. Daniels, Inc. a cotton-duck products manufacturer.
