Jacob, son of John Durst, was a twin to Henry Durst. He was married to Elizabeth Engle, daughter of Adam Engle. They lived on a farm 2 miles east of Jennings. This was later known as the Asa Durst farm. Both Jacob and Elizabeth are buried in the New Germany Church Cemetery

They are the parents of Sarah Durst Patton.
The church that is being referred to was probably the New Germany Church.
