JOHANN HEINRICH MAASBERG was a Hessian soldier with the Brunswick Regiment. He was born in 1749 in Hohenassel. He deserted in 1779 and went to Frederick. He married Elizabeth GEISPERT in 1783 in Frederick County. The name was changed to MOSSBURG. He had two sons that I know of, John born 15 Apr 1791 married Catherine Kurtz in Frederick County. They later moved to upper Montgomery County. Johann Andreas Mossburg married to Elethe Padget in Frederick County and moving to Martinsburg, WV. I would like to find any other children of the Maasbergs and am interested in his Military career.
