Hi, I am researching the Lindsey/Lindsay families and ran across a connection to Ecker family. Augusta Ann Lindsey married William Ecker on 8/23/1864. They are buried in churchyard of Methodist Episcopal Church in Linganore. (?)Since I was in the Annapolis library, and the book was on the history of Frederick County do you think there is a connection to your family line? The library there has a lot of history books written for various counties. I got this info from a cabinet of books that are actually LOCKED up.

In my Ecker database I have a William Ecker (1842-1908) who married Augusta Ann Barnes (1840-1899) married 1864. Issue: Ella, Myra, Lillian, Bertha, Herbert, Charles, Sarah & Clyde. Is this a match? I think it is strange that your Augusta Ann has a different last name. What I saw did not indicate that this was a second marriage for her or anything. So, the name of the cemetary has not come up in your research?

I would like any info you have on "your" couple and then I will go to the Library and look at the book again and try to figure this out.

John Ecker is my 4 great grandfather. Then John Jr. ,William, James, William, Clinton. I can trace back to Andreas Ecker and 3 generations on my side down, from myself.

my grandparents; ruth (hoffecker) ecker and robert ecker lived in Pottstown Pa. My grandmother and my father(John Leonard Ecker) died in 1978. My aunt Mildred is alive. My uncle robert died as a child. This is all I know about The Eckers. If anyone has a connection to my family, please fill in the blanks. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any information on the parents of your Robert P. Ecker? This might help me connect your line to my Ecker line. I actually have Ruth Hoffecker's ancestry on my database as she is a descendant of Jacob Stager (another line that I am researching). I feel that Robert P. Ecker is connected, but just do not see it at this time.
