Does anyone know if there existed a creek known as Beaver Creek around 1800 in Frederick County? If so where was that located?

Beaver Creek is just over the mountain in Washington County, about three miles from the Frederick County Line. Following Rt. 40 from Frederick toward Hagerstown, you have Middletown, Myersville, Wolfsville/Pleasant Walk, then over South Mountain you find Mt. Lena (Smoketown), then Beaver Creek.

I have found a number of Frederick County families that moved to the Smoketown/Beaver Creek area.

There is also a Beaver Dam Creek with a Beaver Dam Church and Cemetery
near Union Bridge in Frederick County. There are remains of an old tannery there.

Actually, I said this Beaver Dam Creek was NEAR Union Bridge.
It's between Johnsville and Union Bridge. My grandfather
lived on Houck Road, just outside of Union Bridge and had
a Union Bridge address, but lived in Frederick County.

Besides that, the original message is searching for 1800
period and this half of Carroll County was part of
Frederick County at that time.

In addition, Beaver Creek, previously mentioned in the
first replies, is in Washington County and was also in
Washington County in 1800; therefore, this is a definite
possibility.
