At least 2 published studies state that Mary Lee and Richard Linthicum (several obvious variations Lynthecum etc.) married 25 Nov 1778 in (it is assumed) Dorchester Co., MD As I am trying to distinguish this Richard b 1752 from his cousin and my ancestor, Richard Linthicum b 1746, a better reference for this marriage would be valuable.

One reason a clear distinction needs to be drawn is that one of these Richards (I hope there are no more) appears to be a Revolutionary War Patriot having been a drummer in the Broad Creek Co. of the Talbot Co., Militia ca 1780.

BTW, both took the oath of Fidelity in 1778 in what I feel are their respective counties R-1752 Dorchester and R-1746 Talbot and were listed in the assessment of 1783 in the same manner.
