I believe my ancestor Abraham Ross (probably born in the 1730s), who married Jannetje Van Der Beek (a descendant of the Dutch settlers of New Amsterdam), may be a son of Edward Ross, Jr., although I am yet to prove it. Abraham and Jannetje had a daughter Sarah Ross, who married William Rippeth of Queen Anne's County, Maryland. William served in the Revolutionary war, after which he and Sarah Ross moved west. Their daughter Sarah Rippeth grew up in Carroll County, Ohio, where my paternal family lived until my father's generation. I would love to collaborate and try to prove my connection.
