Looking for information on family of Charles William Whitlock and his wife Pearl. They lived in Chesapeake City, Maryland, at one time on Biddle Street. Descendants of Edward Washington Whitlock (1836) and Sarah S. May (1843). My grandfather was Charles William Whitlock. I cannot find much information on his wife, Pearl Mumford, before they were married. I found two Pearl Mumfords, and I thought her parents to be John E. Mumford and Gatty but when I compared 1900 census I discovered I really had two different Pearls, and the daughter of John E and Gatty was not my grandmother. Any information anyone has to share would be most appreciated.

Edward Washington Whitlock and Sarah (the line from which I descend) had the following children:

James H. Whitlock (1864) who married Susan Chambers (1865).

John Hendrickson Whitlock (1866) who married Arabella W. Barrett (1862).

Edward W. Whitlock (1867)who married "Martha."

Sarah Melinda Whitlock (1871) who married Andrew Leybold (1869)

Charles William Whitlock (1875) who married Pearl Eunice Mumford (1880).

Susan W. Whitlock (1878) do not know who she married.

Julian M. Whitlock (1881)

Mary E. Whitlock (1883)

Lillian Elsworth Whitlock *1887) who married George Washington Bakeoven.

We are cousins, perhaps third or fourth? I am a descendant of Edward Washington Whitlock and Sarah May as well. In addition, I have Malentear Whitlock as a twelfth child, born 1893 but dying in 1898 to add to your comprehensive list of their children. Would have slipped in between the 1890 and 1900 census data.
