This first will is the one that I found the William and Rich Mills I was asking about. You are right there does seem to be a connection with will 1 & 2. There are just to many Mills's to figure out. I'm only looking at the Anne Arundel County for right now. Just wanted to see if anyone knew who these to men were.
I have found a John Mills & wife Elizabeth that were in Anne Arundel Co., MD were granted permission from St. James Church in 1727 to move to Edgecombe Co., NC so I'm looking for John's father.
1. Michael WELLMAN, carpenter, AA, 13 Apr. 1718, 13 May 1718. To wf. Eliza., exx., for life, then to brothers Thomas & Joseph. Wit. Wm. MILLS, Rich. MILLS, Wm. SMITH. {The will you mentioned seems to be the only place the two names are found together, but there does seem to be a SMITH connection. See next will.}
2. Wm. SMITH, Somerset Co., 1713, 1720. To nephews John, Wm., Robt., & Saml. MILLS, sons of sister Jannet MILLS, exx. To nephews SMITH MILLS & Moses MILES {sic}. Wit. Wm. MILLS, Isaac PYPER.
