I think I put in Barrett, the month of his death, and Bangor.

Edward Jr. is on ancestry.com in a Washington DC paper. I wasn't able to find it doing a search, but found he died on July 7. Obituary is listed on July 8, 1983. If you don't have ancestry.com, you can search the Washington (I believe it is the Post) archives online. If you do a search for Barrett, July 8, 1983, the correct one will come up but you will need to pay to see the obituary.

Some Massachusetts Vital Records are online, E.D. the first married in 1904, Quincy, Mass. One daughter is named after her mother and another has her mother's maiden name as a middle name, and its not Drown.
