I looked them up and saw them this morning. Cecile's came up on a search but for Carman, I needed to browse the newspaper the day after his death. I believe it was page 2, index for the newspaper is located on page 1. These obits give parents names and mother's maiden names. They really are informative. From these obits, knowing he was born in Levis, Quebec, you can search the Quebec BMD records and Canadian census.
