I am searching for information regarding any Coburn families that lived in Bucksport, Maine around 1700. Thomas Coburn came from Ireland in the 1700's durning the potato famine with money given to him from the parish priest to travel by ship to the USA. He landed in Bucksport, Maine and worked as an indentured servant as a cooper sending money back to Ireland to his parish and family.
He married Rebecca Warren who was born in Monmouth, Maine. They first lived in Raymond, Maine then they moved to Vermont and became farmers.
It is unknown how many children Thomas and Rebecca had but we know they had a son named Washington Coburn who married Harriet Thompson in Vermont.
I am intrested in finding anyone who knows about this Coburn family and where Thomas lived in Ireland before arriving in this country. I am also intrested in hearing from any Coburn family members from this Irish Coburn line.
