John Salter Martin I was born in Castine or Frankfort, ME. in 1824 he was lost at sea in 1852 I suppose in ME. somewhere his Wife Elizabeth Catherine Atherton was born in 1818 in Prospect, ME.

They had one Son that I know of my G G Grandfather. John Atherton Martin born May 9, 1951 in Castine, ME.

My Great Grandfather was John Salter Martin II born in KY.
