Hi All: I am working on my McKay line and wondered if anyone has info on any of these people. William H. McKay, b. 1816 Ireland, d. 1904 Portland; married at least 2 women, one a Maria Green(e), b. 1837 Nova Scotia and the other a Catherine Mullen, b. 1829, Ireland, d. 1916, Portland. William H. McKay's father was Patrick McKay and mother, Elizabeth (?). Children of William H. McKay thru Maria Green marriage are James Robert McKay, 1859-1921, Portland and Patrick Edward McKay, 1862-1937 Portland. Child thru Catherine Mullen marriage was William Thomas McKay 1864-1910, Portland. William Thomas was my great grandfather and he married a Delia (a/k/a Bridget) McDonough from Ireland/Portland (parents John and Mary McDonough, Ireland). I am also trying to determine where the McKay family originated in Ireland. If any of these names ring a bell, let me know. I am happy to share info on all the McKays I have thus far.
