I'm looking for info on a Johnston line.

Mainly I have the following info George A. Johnston (Born abt 1848 Death before 1880 son of John and Malinda) and Sarah Elizabeth Johnston (Born abt 1846 daughter of Harrison and Elizabeth). Married Jan 23, 1866 in Leake Co. Mississippi. John and Harrison are believed to be brothers, this making George and Sarah first cousins that got married.


I believe Sarah and George A. Johnston raised a family of four boys and two girls.

married W. Ada Barnett Feburay 25th, 1897 LA

married Joseph Levi Jones December 23rd, 1900

In the 1880 census I found Sarah in Yazoo co Mississippi with all 6 kids listed as widowed. Shortly after she packed all her kids and belongings and went to Winn Parish, Louisiana. I was told she applied for her homestead on July 15th 1891. When she got to old to care for herself she Lived with Mary Elizabeth (Johnston) and her Husband Joseph Levi Jones.
