Looking for the persons listed of the Tutorship Records of EB Bilberry. I am curious to the relationship of the individuals mentioned...Britton Honeycutt, John B. Robinson/Roberson, James H.Tidwell, W.H. Kennedy and G.W. Carson. I believe these men are all related somehow to Eb Bilberry and his minor children possibly through their deceased mother, Mary Jane Honeycutt Bilberry. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Ruth Ann...Hope this helps. Britton Honeycutt was a brother to Mary Jane Honeycutt. They were two of the children of John & Mary Mae Feazel Honeycutt my ggg grandparents. Another daughter was Elizabeth Honeycutt who married William Wilhite, my gg grandparents. The Feazel's, Honeycutt's & Tidwell's are all related. Rachel

Hey Ruth Ann...I just mean by marriage. In our Wilhite Family Tree these names have come up a lot. There has been several marriages between these names. Henry is another family name with several marriages. There are many Tidwell's buried at the Wilhite Cemetery. Bilberry is the only one that I can't place with the Wilhite's, but he was a brother-in-law to my gg grandmother, Elizabeth Honeycutt....Rachel

Hello Ruth,
I just happen to be browsing the queries and ran across yor request. Britton Honeycutt is the brother of Mary J. Honeycutt(E.B Bilberry's first wife). Her father is John Honeycutt. You can find this information under the Union Parish Query site(I think it is under Historical families of Union Parish). John Robinson was a very close associate of the Bilberry family also. He was married to Francis Bilberry. I have their marriage records from the Union Parish Courthouse in Farmerville, La. My side of the Bilberry family is having a family reunion in Las Vegas, Nv. during the month of July 2002. I need a lot of new Bilberry family history to share with the youger generation.

Take Care.............Charles

Ruth,

I'll share with you what I have by way of marriage records I obtained a few years back at the Union Parish Courthouse in Farmerville,La.
John B. Robertson married Miss Frances Billberry on Dec. 7, 1852 (12th District Court, D. Puckett, Justice of the Peace);
Attested(witnesses) by E. B Bilberry and J. B Bilberry;
Note: It appears the documents that I have, J. B Robertson(principal) put up a bond with E.B Bilberry as his security and bound by the Gov. of La. Joseph Markin a sum of Five hundred dollars to marry Frances Bilberry.

E.B Bilberry married Mary Jane Honeycutt on June 5, 1851(12th District Court, L.J Larkin, Gospel Minister);
attested by S.B Harris, W. D Cooper and J.E Milburn
George N. Cobb married Lou Bilberry on Dec. 24, 1888 (3rd District Court
Witnesses: W.H Brasher, J.H Cobb and A. A Cobb
Note: E.B Bilberry put up a sum of five hundred dollars as the principal with John Honeycutt his security and also bound by the same Gov. of La. to marry Mary J .Honeycutt.

Hi Joyce,

I'm not sure what the "B" stands for. With a little research, I might be able to find that out. However, I do know that two of the Bilberry's in the Marion/Farmerville Louisiana (African American) that I am related to were named Jesse B. Bilberry Sr. and Jesse B. Bilberry Jr. The "B" in their names stood for Bernard. Jesse B. Bilberry Sr.is deceased and was born in 1904. He is the son of Joe Frank Bilberry (born 1879) who is my greatgrandfather. By the way, (FYI) we are having a Bilberry/Horn Family Reunion in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 5, 6, 7 2002 at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino......Take Care......Charles
