I am researching my great-great grandmother. The only information that I have is that she was born in Opelousas, July 1890. She was born Mary (May) Ella Stanley and her father's name was Martin Stanley. Her mother's name was Ida Smith.
There are so many versions of her history that we aren't sure which one is accurate.
She developed Alzhiemer's but would recount stories of a mother that delivered 4 sets of twins. It is also believed that her mother died and her father remarried. Don't know the new spouses name.
We know that her sister married a young man with the surname Napoleon.
Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.
