Joseph WILLIAMS marries Martha H. STRICKLAND (m. 1843?) dau. of Cade D. Strickland and is living in St Helena Parish, Louisiana by 1850 census.

Ann Eliza WILLIAMS, my gg-grandmother, married Nicholas Amos TRAVIS of Amite, MS.

By 1860, Joseph WILLIAMS is widowed and remarried to Clarissa MIXON WILLIAMS. They are still living in St. Helena Parish, LA on 1860 census, but have moved to Amite County, Mississippi by the 1870 census.
