I found this message which is a couple of years old, but I am hoping someone has some information on this particular book before I buy it - is the information in "Cabanocey" substantially different or more detailed than the chapters in Harnett Kane's "Plantation Parade"?
I have been very interested in Valcour Aime for years, call him my hobby, if you will, but the written information I find is basically always very similar - rewrites of Mr. Kane's account.
I have found several websites which mention Valcour and his family, but they are full of errors which are somewhat alarming, frankly. There is a lot of misinformation out there!
Any help would be appreciated.
