Is there anyone out there who can tell me about my grandparents? My grandpa's name was R.H. Bamburg whom married Addie Bloom Holston Bamburg, they had three boys, Donald Ray Bamburg, Howard Bamburg, and the youngest Jessie Lee Bamburg( whom is my dad). I'm looking for info on my grandparents and who where their parents. Any information would be greatly appreciated. They last resided in Red River parish. I believed they lived their most of their adult lives. thank you. Charlotte

I am looking for information on the Bamburg's. I believe that Coushatta is in Red River Parish. My father was Merce Hampton Bamburg and his mother's name was Allie. No one mention's his father. All I have is that he died of the flu in the early 1900's. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have a book about Red River Parish that has information in it about the Bamburgs.. My Aunt was married to a Bamburg and she is a world of information. I'll try to find your Mercer and get back to you as they are only listed by last name so I have to look through every Bamburg listing.

I have a booklet from the Liberty Cemetery in Red River Parish which lists 29 Bamburgs buried there. There is a lot of information in the booklet, but I don't see any of the names you listed. If you would like more information from the book or if you know of other Bamburgs from the area, let me know. I would be happy to help. Many of my ancestors are buried at the cemetery and many of my living family members grew up in the parish.

My husband's grandmother was Rachael Dee Bamburg Mason, daughter of William Albert Bamburg 1874-1853 and Clairene Ernestine Murphy 1880-1978, William Albert's parents were William Franklin Bamburg 1853-1847 and Roseanna Pickett 1860-1832. If anyone has any info about these Bamburgs, Murphys or Picketts please let me know. Also any info about Salem Cemetery in Coushatta where Clairene Murphy Bamburg is supposedly buried, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Judy
