Absalom and Elizabeth (NORRIS) AUTREY moved into the Lincoln Parish area, Dubach, in 1847. They built their home and moved into it in 1848. The Autrey's had 15 children, 12 survived the Civil War to present their parents with 107 grandchildren. I have many gaps in my research on this huge family.

I am attempting to honor this huge family with a special section on my web site. Please visit it, I have much informaiton yet to post and even enter into my genealogy file, and have begun to create a "cyber" visit of their home from personal photographs I have taken through the years. I just today uploaded an additional 350 individuals which represent the families of the first three children of Absalom and Elizabeth: Albert H. and Sarah E. (Autrey) NEIGHBORS, John Mabe and Dianacy (WALLACE) AUTREY, and John Brown L. and Lucinda (AUTREY) MITCHELL. Three children down, twelve more to go:)

If you are connected to any of the families which our Autreys married, please contact me, I have many cousins to find:)

If you are researching the Autrey family or have Autrey connections, you are invited to join the Roots AUTREY mailing list. If you have any information you can share wth me on these families, please contact me.

I am especially interested in any documentation anyone can share with me to share with others on my web site.
