Looking for information on the AMerican Creosote Company that was organized in part by Ira Simmons, probably around 1910 near SOuthport, LA. I want to find out if this company was located near the Jefferson Parish/Orleans Parish Line where the current Southport Hall is located at the bend in the Mississippi River. Also looking for information on Woodson Simmons, brother to Ira. ANother brother, William Rufus Simmons, is listed living on a Mill Lane next door to Ira SImmons and mother, Harriet, in Jefferson Parish on the 1910 Census.

Thank You so very much. I have not been able to find anything else such as marraige, obit, divorces. My Grandfather was 1st husb. James Marles Howard. Now I know why I gave up yrs ago. I know she died on 30th Birthday. Any idea how I can find out anything on this? Car wreck I always heard. She had a Sister in Hodge Louisiana. Mary "Ruby" Brown Nolley who passed away In 2008. Any info appreciated. Morris T Brown had a Daughter Lurea or Lurey Brown is my GrandMother. She had 3 sons with James Marles Howard. The youngest was my Father James Douglas Howard. She died on Feb 17, 1945 on her 30th Birthdday. Always heard car accident in Jackson Parish. All Ive found on her is she was a housekeeper for The Charley Cummings Family and divorced. She did remarry between 1940 and her death in 1945. I have spent 3 months straight looking for anything on her life. Not even an Obit cn I find. There are 2 death index cards with date of death and one list Negro and the other White. And last name Jordon and Jordan. Well she was White but its as dying on Birthdate which isnt common in same parish I figure?... So with differnt spellings for first and last names doesnt help. She is buried in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Any help will be most appreciated! Thank You Carol Howard

I am Marion Guidry Russell's daughter. John Warren Guidry was my uncle.
I am also doing research and trying to prove that Leontine Aubin did
actually attend and graduate from Ursuline. Do you have anything on that?

There was also a james A. Guidry, born 1912. don't have DOD. know he was in a VA hospital in Mississippi.

The reason the previous poster asked if they had ever lived in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana is because your message is posted on the Jefferson Parish message board. You would likely have more luck getting help with this family if you posted it on the message board for the area of Connecticut where they lived.

You can order the death certificate with the information that was provided to you in the other post. The death certificate will list cause of death and any contributing factors (car accident, etc.)
