I would appreciate help with an obituary lookup for a cousin of mine. Per the social security death index she died in Matairie in Jefferson Parrish.

Janet Albert Sowers, a retired office manager, died Oct. 26 of kidney failure at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Sowers was born in Blacksburg, Va., and lived in Metairie for the past nine years. She graduated from Blacksburg High School and attended Virginia Tech. Survivors include two daughters, Jane S. Trace of Hammond and Jean S. Schwindt of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, John E. ‘Jack’ Albert of Botetot County, Va.; and a grandchild. Services will be private.
