I have some 1860's marriages that I would like to figure out in Franklin Parish.

2great grandmother was Sarah Virginia Marsalis who married Armstrong F. Ward in 1864, she was his second wife the first was JoAnna McVoy, in 1859. 1st LA Cavalry Company K, was his military service.

Sarah's brother Peter H. Marsalis married Hester G. Arnold in 1860. The records have him listed as Peter Thomas Marsalis. We are guessing that he died in the Civil War because Hester Marsalis married Alonzo D. Moore 23 Dec 1862 in Franklin Parish. Then on 22 Apr 1869 A. D. O. Moore married again, to Christina Brintner. Anyone know what happened to Hester (Arnold) Marsalis Moore?

Another of Sarah's brothers William B. Marsalis was married to Nancy Harrell in Amite Co., MS and living in Franklin Parish, left for war the same time and company as Peter H. and Armstrong F. Ward. Was William killed also? There was a Nancy Marsalis who married I. T. McVoy 25 Jun 1863 in Franklin Parish. Was I. T. McVoy a brother of JoAnna McVoy?
