Surnames: MILLIKEN MILIKIN
I'm trying to find family of origin information on John MILLIKEN (or MILIKIN) who is listed in the 1820 census of Concordia Parish. Starting approx 1826 he began purchasing land, along the river, in what was to become Madison Parish. That area eventually became known as Milliken's Bend.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Eddie,
It's worth a look-see. It's possible he may be one and the same. The John I'm looking for had only one daughter (to my knowledge) and her son or grandson eventually was the governor of LA (John Milliken Parker).

What info I have is at home, but I'm looking to see if John/Johnny Milliken was a descendant of Charles Millakin. I believe John was originally from KY.

Thanks for your help!
Keith
