I'm trying to find any information on an A.J. Allen who married Madeline Price in Claiborne Parish in 1865. He's not listed in the 1870 census with her so he's either dead or he ran off by then. I'm leaning towards him going by his middle initial which I think stands for Jesse. He named his son George Alford Allen and called him Alford, so that might stand for the A. in his name- nothing definite.
