This is a correction to the above ;
Newton Melvin Chamlee married Jane A. Huckabee Bearden sometime about 1865. They were supposed to be living in Claiborne County Louisiana when the two children were born.
Martha Victoria Chamlee was born 1866 and Jacob "Jake" Louis Chamlee was born 1868 in Louisiana. Newton Melvin Chamlee died in Louisiana before 1880 as Jane and the children are living in Nevada Co. Arkansas with an older daughter of Jane A. Huckabee and her first husband Andrew J. Bearden. If you know where Newton Melvin Chamlee is buried I need that info. Also has anyone seen this family on a census of Claiborne Parish in 1870?
