So, what do you know? What have you done in the way of research on your own? Maybe I can help.

Anna,

I have found Frank Dupin's children and some information about their families. I ordered Frank and Alcedia's death certificate and got a tiny bit of information from them. On Frank's death certificate (15 Mar 1880 - 12 May 1944), his father was recorded as Louis Dupin, his mother's name unknown... could it be Mary Landry? Alcedia (abt 1880 - 07 Sep 1925) death certificate - her name was recorded as Mrs Frank Dupin, her father looks like a Z. Babin, her mother is unknown. Also on Mrs. Frank Dupin's death certificate there is a name Sida Babin.. could this be her maiden name?
The only Census I could find with Frank Dupin recorded was the 1920 U.S. Federal Census and that is where an Alcedia was recorded.
My interest in the Dupin line is for my niece. Her mother was a Dupin. Any information would be appreciated..

Thanks,
Bobby

You're welcome, Bobby. If you think of something else I can do, don't hesitate to ask.

PS I knew Homer "Hots" DUPIN, he was a deputy sheriff and his son, Melvin, who also worked for the Sheriff's department and coached baseball when my brother was playing.
Ivy was a male and he had a son, Ivy Joseph "Sonny" Dupin, who was a state trooper who died in a traffic accident many years ago now.

"Sonny" Joseph Ivy Dupin Jr. was my uncle by marriage. He was married to Mima Cradeur. He was a LA State Trooper and also was a musician & singer. He was killed in 1970 after playing at a Christmas dance in Vinton, LA. He was on his way home to Westlake, LA. A lady entered the exit ramp on I-10 near Sulphur and hit Uncle Sonny head on. I am familiar with some of the family. I lived with him and Aunt Mima when I was young. Aunt Mima & Uncle Sonny were like second parents to me. She was my mother's only sister.
