I am trying to find information on an ancestress, Mary Ann Moss, a mulatto slave, who was owned by Henry Moss and Ann Ryan. Mary Ann was born in Choctow County, Mississippi but transported to Louisiana along with her mother sometime before 1862. Since she was a house slave, Oliver Ryan Moss knew her and her family, and signed several legal documents in reference to her and her husband Charles Wright after slavery ended. I believe her siblings were James, Julia, Minerva and Webster.
I am hoping anyone might have any information on her and her family such as references in wills or diaries, where in Choctow county the Ryans or Mosses lived and owned slaves, and perhaps even some photographs. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
