Hi Board....
I am looking for information on a child of Belizaire's names Ernest Leonard BREAUX born 1906 in Rayne. I know he is one of 13 chilren born to Belizaire and Marguerite Caruthers. I know that at some point in his childhood he lost a leg in a disagreement with a train, hence the nickname Peg (newspaper article??)....
I know that he isn't on the 1910 census. I also know he was killed in a car accident with his wife Thelma in 1956 in the Cheneyville area (Rapides Parish). Their son Robert and daughter Linda were raised in orphanages. Robert moved to Michigan in 1968 and met my Mom. He was killed in a car accident when I was 10 (1982).
Can anyone help me find more about this elusive Grandfather of mine?
