I am in search of information on the founding father of our family. The Stutes family from Louisiana. Descendants of Michel Stout. I know it derives from the common name Stout. Father Hebert has made reference to that in his volumes. My question is as to the problem I am having with the name of his wife or maybe wives. One, named Isabella (Elizabeth in english) Pirella. Other references have been made that his wife was Maria Mullens or Mullins. Much information has been gathered on my family and descendants. Many of the entries I find on the internet has me questionable as to whether he was married twice, or are these two different men? Anyone with some verifiable information regarding this matter would be deeply appreciated.
