RITES HELD IN OPELOUSAS FOR MRS.DeJEAN
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Edwin DeJean, 71 at 2 p.m. Saturday in Queen of Angels Catholic church in Opelousas. Burial was in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. /p/ Mrs. Dejean, the former, Lorena Dupont died unexpectedly at 8 p.m. Thursday at her home. /p/ She is survived by two sons, Donald DeJean and Ronald DeJean both of Opelousas; four brothers, Clifton Dupont of Rayne, Edward Dupont of Burwick, Ernest and Murphy Lee Dupont both of Morgan City; two sisters, Mrs. Curtis Scott of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. William Grimes of Patterson and six grandchildren. /p/ Mrs. Dejean was well known here having resided several miles out of Church Point on the Lawtell highway all her life.

Yes this is my Lorena DeJean.. She was my mother in law. Can I help with some information. I live in Baton rouge, and my sister in law and I are the ones left. Our husbands are dead and so is Mama Dee and her husband Pop (Edwin). Let me know what info you need. I am leaving for Florida for a few days , will be back by Monday.
