I have a question about how to find early marriage records in Kentucky. In looking at the KY website, it seems the state only has records starting around 1911. I have a couple relatives married in the early to mid 1800's in Kentucky that I am looking to find more information on. Are records available prior to 1911 and where would I look to find them? Are they held by the county, or does a historical society have them? Any help would be appreciated.
