His father Was John Hays and I believe his mother was Jane Wood Her parents are believed to be Lysander and Eliza Wood of North Carolina. William would have been born around 1750
Williams Grandfather is believed to be Patrick Born about 1725 in Rockbridge Va his wife we think is Prudence Campbell daughter of Gilbert Campbell.William and his son John are believed to be one of the first white men in Estell County Ky they entered Ky in 1791 Williams son John was born 1773 In Rockbridge Va. He died in Ky having 2 partners first Mary Angel and he Married Ursula Haddix He sired many children. Any information William or his siblings parents etx. would be greatly appreicated.
