Mr. Hubert Earl Capps, 78, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 9:35 A.M. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
He was born March 15, 1930 in Charleston, KY to the late Jesse and Willie Timmons Capps.
Mr. Capps was a member of Nebo Baptist Church and he was a coal miner for 45 years and retired from Webster Co. Coal. He served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosella Capps of Madisonville; one son, Kenny Capps of Madisonville; two daughters, Michelle Johnson of Madisonville and Allison Farmer of Providence; two brothers, Robert Capps of Nebo, KY and Rufus Capps of Shelburn, IN; two sisters, Betty Egbert and Linda Siria both of Madisonville; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Rhye officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
Friends may call the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday.
